Graveside services were held at 11 A.M., Thursday in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Elder Robert Torrance officiating. -Mr. Amos was born in Sandersville, Washington County, Georgia March 19, 1928 to the late G. Ed and Christine (Askew) Amos. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Milton, Edward and Mildred. Mr. Amos was a believer in Christ and a graduate of "the college of life." He was a self-employed trucker. Upon his retirement he could always be found dealing scrap metal and helping others. He loved being outside and never met a stranger. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife and family. His loving wife of fifty-seven years, Annie Adams Amos; children, George, Vickie, Deborah and Lisa; grandchildren, Chad, Jennifer and Michelle; great grandchildren, Tyler, Lacy, Mandy, Drew, Ricky and Chris; numerous extended family and friends. -Visit www.mem.com to express tributes. -Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue had charge of arrangements.
