LILA AMBROSE Mrs. Lila Sikes Ambrose, 86, of E-4 Vineville Courts, died in a local hospital at 1:10 a.m. yester- day after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Ambrose, widow of Lester Jay Ambrose, was born in Bibb County the daughter of Samuel I. Sikes and Mrs. Virginia Brooks Sikes, and had lived in Macon since 1953. She was a member of the Vineville Methodist Church and the Sidney Bayne Bible Class. Surviving are a sister, Miss Hattie Sikes, Macon; several nieces and nephews, among them, Mrs. Myra Ufford, Montgomery, Ala., and Mrs. Nell Dorsey, Opelika, Ala., and several great nieces and nephews.
