Florence Barfield, age 77, died Wednesday, September 19, 2001 at her 
residence.  Services were held Saturday, September 22, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the 
Chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Barnard and Rev. Paul 
Creech officiating.  Burial was in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.   Mrs. 
Barfield was born June 28, 1924 in Wilcox County, GA. and had lived in Macon 
for the past  50 years.  She was a homemaker and a member of White Oak Free 
Will Baptist Church.  Survivors include her husband, Aaron Barfield of Macon, 
GA., daughters and sons in laws, Delores and Danny Touchton of Jones County, 
Betty Sue and Ken Groves of Kathleen; son and daughter in law, Cleve and 
Carolyn Barfield of Macon; brothers, Ruben Coleman and Cecil Coleman, both of 
Macon and Clinton Coleman of Conyers; sisters, Leola Ramsey of Macon, Nancy 
Clarke of Vienna and Jeanette Ruthledge of Ivey, GA; 11 grandchildren and 17 
great grandchildren.   Family could be contacted at 2970 Walmar Drive.   Crest 
Lawn Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
