Rev. A.J. Battle Dies In Macon

Macon, Ga., Sept. 30 – Rev. A.J. Battle, one of the best known Baptist divines 
in the South, and an educator of note, died Sunday evening at the residence of 
his daughter, Mrs. T.S. Lowery, in Vineville.  He was 81 years old and his 
death was the result of old age.
