Lawson Brown Dies At his Macon Home Macon, Ga., March 2. (Special)-A. Lawson Brown, one of the best-known of the younger business men of Macon, and president of the Brown Wagon Company, died suddenly this morning at 1 o'clock. He had been ill with indigestion a few hours previously, but retired for the night in apparent good health. His death was the occasion of a widespread grief, as he was one of the most popular of the younger men in the commercial and social life of Macon. He had lived here all of his life, his father having been for years the president of the Central Georgia bank, which recently liquidated. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mamie Wiley Brown, and a 12 year old son; two sisters, Mrs. W. Jordan Massee, of Macon, and Mrs. W. N. Benton, of Augusta, and his father, Captain Robert H. Brown. He was a cousin of Hon. Pope Brown. The funeral will take place from the residence, 341 College street, tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock. Interment will be Rose Hill cemetery.
