 8 Oct 1979 Page 5A               Mrs. Butler
 Mrs. Joanna Rowland Butler, 79, of Route 12, Tucker Road, died Sunday. 
Arrangements will be announced by Memorial Chapel, Funeral Directors.
 Mrs. Butler, born and educated in Jeff Davis County, had lived in Macon for 
the past 10 years and was a member of Macon Baptist Church.
 Survivors include four sons, W. O. Butler of Macon, M. E. Butler of Dublin, 
Alva Butler of Joplin, Mo., and Edsel Butler of Severna Park, Md.; two 
daughters, Mrs. Carl Screws of Leesburg, Fla. and Mrs. Earl Edge of Macon; two 
sisters, Mrs. Cleo Carey and Mrs. Levata Hutchinson, both of Waycross; 25 
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
 The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Edge, Route 2, 
Thomaston Road.

 Services for Mrs. Joanna Rowland Butler, 79, of Route 12 Tucker Road, who 
died Sunday, will be held at 4pm today in Macon Baptist Church. Burial will be 
in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. James Sowden will 
officiate.
 Memorial Chapel Funeral Directors has charge of arrangements.

Joanna was born 2 Dec 1899 to Joseph T. R. "Joe" Rowland and Lula Maria 
Foskey. Georgia death certificate #030869.
