Services will be held at 2pm today in Macon Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Butler, a native of Wheeler County, lived in Macon two years and was a disabled veteran, having served in the US Army during World War II. He was a Baptist. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Foster of Dublin; a son, Kenneth Butler of Dublin; his mother, Mrs. Joanna Butler of Macon; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Edge of Macon and Mrs. Carl Screws of Fruitland, Fla.; five brothers, W. D. Butler and C. C. Butler, both of Macon, A. T. Butler of Joplin, Mo., M. E. Butler of Dublin, and E. W. Butler of Severna Park, Md.; and a grandchild. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Edge, Thomaston Road. Memorial Chapel Funeral Directors has charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Joseph was born 17 Jan 1923 to William Elijah "Lige" Butler and Joanna "Jan" Rowland Buler. Georgia death certificate #038769.
