E.B. Carroll 60 years of age died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at his home,
407 Walnut Street, after an illness of only five days.  Pneumonia is given as
the cause of his death. Besides his widow he is survived by four daughters, Mrs.
M.F. Riddle, and Mrs. G.N. Taylor, both of Savannah; Mrs. H.F. Campbell, of
Birmingham, AL and J.D. Carroll of Savannah.

Mr. Carroll had resided in Macon thirty-two years and had a host of friends
throughout the city who will be grieved to learn of his death. He was a
Confederate veteran and a member of R.A. Smith Camp U.C.V.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the late residence,
Rev. T.F. Callaway, pastor of Tabernacle Baptist church officiating. Interment
will follow at Cedar Ridge Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
Elisha B. Carroll born 5-8-1845 and died 2-3-1915 is buried there but not
listed. See the attached obituary. His wife, Henrietta L. Todd Carroll is
listed. She died 4-12-1937
