                                   Mr. Carter
 Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at Memorial Chapel in Macon for 
Perue Carter, 77, of Commerce. Interment was in Memorial Gardens in Macon.
 Mr. Carter died Monday, Oct. 28, at the BJC Hospital, following a brief 
illness. he was born in Twiggs County on Aug. 10, 1897, a son of the late J. 
W. and Donna Chance Carter and was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in 
Midway.
 He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Davis Carter; four sons, Carl W. 
Carter and Robert W. Carter, both of Macon, James P. Carter of Savannah, and 
Calvin L. Carter of Midway; a daughter, Mrs. Willie A. Bone of Commerce; a 
brother, Clothree Carter of Macon and a sister, Mrs. Alpha Rohr.
 Ivie Funeral Home was in charge.
