Mary Phillips Chambers -MACON - Mary P. Chambers, 87, of Macon died 
Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at Coliseum Medical Center. -Born in Woodruff, 
South Carolina, Mrs. Chambers was a resident of Macon for 53 years. She 
owned and operated the Lewis - Chambers Company of Macon for 30 years 
jointly with her late husband, Lewis A. Chambers. Recently, Mrs. Chambers 
was a resident of John Wesley Villas and Lynn Haven Nursing Home of Gray. 
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. -Surviving are two sons: 
Fredrick L. Chambers and his wife, Catherine Chambers, of Tampa, Florida and 
David L. Chambers and his wife, Angela Chambers, of Atlanta; a sister, Mrs. 
James (Elizabeth) McCallum of Marietta; sisters­ in-law, Mrs. Arthur B. 
(Nancy) Abercrombie, Jr. of Marietta and Norma M. Chambers of Gainesville; 
four granddaughters. -A graveside service will be held Friday, June 20, 2003 
at 11AM. at Riverside Cemetery. The Reverend Hal McNeely will officiate. -
Hart's Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
