Services for Verdie Lou Kirkland Duggan were at 11 A.M. Saturday, June 16, 2007
at Porterfield Baptist Church. Rev. Sam Waldron and Rev. Bill Hardee officiated.
Interment was in the Veterans Section, Lot 198 C, space 2 of Glen Haven Memorial
Gardens. -Visitation was Friday, June 15, 2007 at Crest Lawn Funeral Home from
6:00 to 8:00 P.M. -Verdie Lou Duggan, 73, of Macon, GA, passed away Tuesday,
June 12, 2007. Daughter of the late William Grover and Evie Ellis Kirkland, she
was born in Tift County on March 12, 1934, and had lived in Macon for most of
her life. Mrs. Duggan was retired from Retail Sales; she was a member of
Porterfield Baptist Church and the Dove Sunday School Class. Mrs. Duggan was a
volunteer for the Macon Baptist Ministry Center and preceded in death by her
husband, John Curtis Duggan. Survivors: daughters, Cathy (Kirt) Matthews, Fort
Hill, SC; Cindy Duggan, Macon, GA; sons, Johnny (Loretta) Duggan, Peoria, AZ;
Darrell (Lisa) Duggan, Gray, GA; brothers, Butch Kirkland, Macon, GA; Harrell
Kirkland, Crystal City, MO; Clarence Kirkland, Jeffersonville, GA:
grandchildren, Kirsty and Kirt Jr. Matthews, Fort Mill, SC; Lucinda, John
Austin, Alex, Kimberly Duggan, Peoria, AZ; Darrell-Lee and Clay Duggan, Gray,
GA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the building fund of her son's
church: Bradley Baptist Church, P.O. Box 61, Gray, GA 31032. View the Memorial
