FORT VALLEY - Susan H. Durdin, 54, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Services 
will be 10A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Pleasant Valley Church in 
Thomaston with Pastor Henry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at 1P.M. in 
Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Macon. -Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Susan was a 
horticulturist and member of Pleasant Valley Church. -Survivors include her 
husband, Charles W. Durdin of Fort Valley; children, Bronnie Turner of Bonaire 
and Victoria Kelley of Byron; four grandchildren; mother, Josephine Halstead 
of Warner Robins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and June Halstead of 
Camilla, Joey and Anita Halstead of Ringgold, Mickey and Charlotte Halstead of 
Warner Robins, and Phillip and Denise Halstead of Crawford County. -She was 
preceded in death by her father, Joseph Abraham Halstead and brother, Aubry G. 
Halstead, Sr. -The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, 
November 2, 2007 at Rooks Funeral Home in Byron. -Rooks Funeral Home in Byron 
has charge of arrangements.
