CHARLES EDWARDS

Charles Arthur Edwards Jr, 58, of 145 Idle Hour Drive in Macon, died Thursday, 
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the new section of 
Riverside Cemetery.  Rev. Tex Watson will officiate.

Mr. Edwards, a life long resident of Macon, was educated here.  He attended 
Mercer University and was a retitred United States Post Office Supervisor in 
Macon.  He attended First Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday School at the 
Macon Evangelical Church.  He was a member of Wolehim Masonic Lodge, the York 
Rites Bodies and was a World War II., Marine veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Bannie Edwards of Macon, three daughters, 
Charlotte Sacre of Bluefield, W. Va., Carole Bennett of Macon and Diane 
Phillips of Gray; a son, Paul Edwards, of Athens; two sisters, Allene Busbee 
and Elizabeth Whitehead, both of Macon, a brother, Robert edwards of Macon,; 
and three grandchildren.

Those who wish to may make donations to the Thomas C. Burke Foundation, 781 
Spring St. Macon 31204 or the American Cancer Society, 1027 Walnut St., Macon, 
31201.

Snows Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
