                          Ivey A. Ellis

 Ivey Alexander Ellis, 73, 2394 Vineville Ave. died Sunday in a local hospital 
after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday in 
the chapel of Hart's Mortuary.

 Mr. Ellis was born in Washington County and lived in Macon most of his life. 
He was retired from the civil service in Warner Robins, a member of the Lizella 
Baptist Church, a Mason, and a member of the Scottish Rite and the Shrine.

 Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mandy Collins Ellis; one daughter, Mrs. 
Nellie Irene Jump of Macon; three sons, The Rev. Alton W. Ellis of Macon; Otha 
C. Ellis of Macon, and Ivey E. Ellis of Macon; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Myers of 
Macon and Mrs. Irene D. Ellis of San Francisco, Calif.; two brothers, Horace M. 
Ellis of Macon and Julian E. Ellis of Washington, DC; ten grandchildren; and 
six great-grandchildren. The family will be at the residence of the Rev. Alton 
W. Ellis, 3710 Dreyfus Dr.

Ivey was born 7 Apr 1900 to William David Ellis and Mattie Louella Horton 
Ellis. Georgia death certificate #000059. His first wife was Nellie Violina 
Johnson Ellis.
