BYRON - Guy Gearing, 66, died Saturday, October 6, 2007. Services were held 2 
P.M. Monday, October 8, 2007 in the Chapel of Rooks Funeral Home in Byron with 
Thomas Hilley and Billy Nash officiating. Burial followed in Glen Haven 
Memorial Gardens near Macon. -Born in Madison County to the late Robert and 
Radie Gooch Gearing, Guy was a former paratrooper in the Army and worked in 
construction. -Survivors include children, Lynn Terrell of Oglethorpe, 
Patricia and Boyd Barton of Byron, Regina and Eddy Mullis of Lynhaven, 
Florida, and Rhonda Barton of Byron; eight grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Scarboro of Byron and Lillian Scarboro of 
Monticello; brother, Thomas Gearing of Ila. -The family will receive friends 
from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, October 7 at Rooks Funeral Home in Byron. -
Rooks Funeral Home in Byron has charge of arrangements.
