MACON - Lloyd G. Gilbert, 89, of Macon, passed away December 22, 2007. Mr. 
Gilbert was preceded in death by his wife, Nita, sons, A.J. Crosby and Tommy 
Crosby, and by his grandchildren, Dickie Crosby, Bobby Crosby, and Tommy 
Crosby. Mr. Gilbert was a member of Lynnmore Methodist Church, served in 
combat in WWII, was a member of Masonic Lodge 448 Yorkrite Body, and a member 
of VFW 658. -He is survived by his son, B. Lamar Crosby (Betty) of Macon, 
grandchildren, Carolyn Collins (James) of Calhoun, GA, Sonny Crosby of 
Florida, Melinda Jones (Bill) of Lake Sinclair, GA, Peggy Moore (Tom) of 
Florence, SC, Jack Crosby (Geneva) of Florida, Randall Crosby (Joanelle W.) of 
Macon, 9 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren. -Funeral 
services will be held Wednesday, December 26, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of 
Hart's Mortuary with interment to follow in Glen Haven Cemetery. - The family  
received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. -Hart's 
Mortuary and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
