J.H.J. Brown
1-17 1914 Macon Telegraph

After an illness of many months, J.H.J. Brown, 64 years of age died yesterday 
morning at 4 o'clock at his home 725 Walnut Street. Ill health caused him to 
retire from business several years ago.

He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. J.H. Cain, Mrs. Ella Crosby, Mrs. J.T. 
Beal, Mrs. H.J. Cox of Macon; and Mrs. J.T. Wright [Note: typo in newspaper, should be Mrs. J.L. Wright] of Gray,Jones Co;  He is 
also survived by one sister, Mrs. B.F. Stripling of Macon and four brothers, 
Messr. W.E. C.M., D.L. and John Brown of Jones County.

The funeral will be held this morning at 11 o'clock from the family residence. 
Dr. W.N.Ainsworth, paster of Mulberry Street Methodist Church officiating. 
Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.

NOTE:
James is listed as son of Stephen Brown and Saleta A.
King Brown on the 1850 Jones Co., Ga., census.
