                          Dan W. Hamlin

 Dan W. Hamlin, 32, of 3268 Seminole Avenue, died early yesterday morning in a 
local hospital after a lengthy illness. 

 Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at 4pm today. 
The Rev. O. M. Cates will officiate and burial will be in Macon Memorial Park.

 Mr. Hamlin, foreman for the Cherokee Brick and Tile Company, was a life-long 
resident of Bibb County, the son of H. L. Hamlin Sr. and Mrs. Carrie Parks 
Hamlin. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the Cherokee 
Heights Baptist Church and the Spirtual Men's Bible Class.

 Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Lillian Beasley of Macon; a son, Danny 
Hamlin of Macon; father, H. L. Hamlin Sr. of Lizella; five brothers, Jack 
Hamlin of Panama City, Fla., Dick Hamlin of Albany, Henry L. Hamlin Jr. and Nat 
Hamlin of Lizella, and Warren Hamlin of Macon; and two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Wynn 
and Mrs. Russell Obenauf of Lizella.
