June 16-[Special]-Mrs. Elizabeth C. Hardeman, widow of the late Judge R. V. Hardeman and mother of Colonel Isaac Hardeman, of this city, died this evening at 7 o'clock at the residence of her son, in Vineville. Mrs. Hardeman was born in Warren county, Georgia in the year 1804. She was a Miss Henderson and married R. V. Hardeman, who was afterwards judge of the Ocmulgee circuit, and who died thirty years ago. The deceased came to Macon in 1872 with her son, Isaac Hardeman, and has resided here since that time. Her whole life has been marked by strict piety and quiet charity, and she has well earned the love and respect of a community in which none knew her but to love her in all these years. She leaves four sons, Isaac Hardeman and R. V. Hardeman, of Macon; John H. Hardeman, of Haddock's, and Thomas Hardeman, of Jefferson county. The funeral services will be read at the First Baptist church tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock, of which she was a devoted member. After the services the body will be shipped to Clinton, where interment will be made in the family vault.
