Atlanta Constitution, 19 October 1897
Macon, Ga., October 18-
Thomas Herley, father of John Herley, died at the city hospital at 12:45 
o'clock today.  Mr. Herley was seventy-five years old and was born in Ireland.  
He came to Macon fifteen years ago and has lived with his son all the time.  No 
arrangements for the funeral have been made.
