-TULSA, OK - Irma Rhodes Holcombe was born in Griffin, GA on December 18, 1916 
and died Tulsa, OK February 3, 2008. -Irma was a member of the Second Baptist 
Church in Griffin until she moved to Forsyth in 1990 where she was a member of 
Maynard Baptist Church.Ê In 2001, she moved to Tulsa, OK to be near her 
family. -She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow C. Holcombe, her 
brother, John A. Rhodes, Jr. of Fort Valley, GA and sister, Vallie Gordy of 
Forsyth.Ê She is survived by her son, Barry Holcombe, and his wife, Jean, of 
Broken Arrow, OK, her brother, Clayburn Rhodes of Forsyth, GA, 3 
granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren. -Irma loved children and was 
loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as all those she 
taught in Sunday School and Bible School. -Graveside services will be held at 
Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 9th with 
graveside viewing at 10:30 AM.Ê Officiating will be the Reverend Marvin Lee, 
pastor of Maynard Baptist Church, Forsyth. -Contributions may be made to 
Maynard Baptist Church, P. O. Box 576, Forsyth, GA 31029 or charity of
