Mrs. Jackson was 87 years old. She was born in Maryland and was at one time President of the Georgia Federation of Women's Clubs, and was prominent in the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, as well as in social and educational work. Atlanta Constitution July 4, 1926 Jackson-The friends and relatives of Mrs. James Jackson (widow of the late Chief Justice James Jackson), Mr. and Mrs. Webster Davis, of New York; Mr. W. M. Slaton, Major W. F. Slaton, Mr. James J. Slaton, Mr. John M. Slaton, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Hitt, of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. Mitchell Rawson, of New York City; Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Scrutchin, of Decatur, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scrutchin, of Chicago, Ill. are invited to attend the funeral of Mrs. James Jackson tomorrow (Monday) July 5, 1926, at St. Mark Methodist church, at 10:30 o'clock. Dr. A. J. Lamar of Nashville, and Dr. J. D. Mitchell will officiate. Following the services the remains will be carried to Macon, Ga., via the Southern railroad, at 12:15 P.M., for interment. The following gentlemen will kindly serve as pallbearers and meet at the Barclay and Brandon chapel at 10 A.M.: Mr. W. M. Slaton, Major W. F. Slaton, Mr. James J. Slaton, Mr. John M. Slaton, Jr., John W. Grant, Mr. Vassar Wooley and Mr. J. G. Scrutchin. The judges of the supreme court of Georgia are requested to act as an honorary escort and meet at the church at 10:15 A. M.
