Edward Jeffers Dead

We are pained to learn this popular conductor,(on S. W. R. R.) and clever
gentleman died at his home in the city of Macon on Thursday last.  Mr. Jeffers
was deservedly popular with his company and the people along the line of road
from Macon to Columbus.  We believe it was his intention to move to our county
soon.
