Jewett, was thrown from the buggy and instantly killed. Her two sons, who were with her at the time the accident occurred were also injured. The accident occurred near Summerfield, 7 miles from Macon about 3 miles from their surburban homes. It seems that the horse became frightened at something along the roadside and began to run. The Central of Georgia railroad intersects the road at a point near where the animal became frightened. On reaching the track the horse turned down it and threw the occupants from the buggy.
