Funeral services were held Wednesday 12 Noon from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gray with burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Macon. Mr. Johnson was born in Barridge, KY but lived most of his life in Gordon and Macon. He was a railroad conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad for over fifteen years and was a paint contractor for the past twelve years. He was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the Air Force and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include his wife, Dianne Brown Johnson of Macon; son, Cal Johnson (Dawn) of Macon; his mother, Mary Reynolds Balkcom of Gordon; two sisters, Carolyn Balkcom of Gordon and Judy Parks of Milledgeville; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Dessalyn Johnson; two nephews, Michael and Christopher Parks. The family was at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. for friends to call. -Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
