Lamb, 78, died Monday night, at his residence in Rion, after an illness of three months. He was employed with the Winnsboro Blue Granite Quarry as a master mechanic and had made his home in Rion for the past 13 years. Mr. Lamb was the son of the late Reuben R. and Elizabeth Roland Lamb of Twiggs County and was a member of the Little River Baptist Church and the Winnsboro Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his widow, Vivian Fountain Lamb; one foster son, A. N. Sapp of Macon, Ga.; and two brothers of Macon, J. R. and H. S. Lamb; a niece, Mrs. Sarah Lord of Macon, and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were C. E. Glover, Daniel Timms, Morgan Sellers, E. L. Sellers, O. W. Barr, and W. A. Perry. Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock Wednesday from the Hart Mortuary with the Rev. Douglass Fullington officiating. Masonic services were held at the graveside in the Evergreen Cemetery, Macon, Georgia. Additional Comments: Reuben was born 3 Oct 1878.
