Lord, well known Maconite, will be held at 3pm today in Memorial Chapel. Dr. Eric A. Oesterle and Dr. J. E. Sammons will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Evans Gates, James Cash, Lloyd Harris, Carl Hamlin, Cliff Cunningham, and Floyd Snider. Mr. Lord died in a local hospital at 8:05am Tuesday following a long illness. He had made his home in Macon all his life and was a graduate of Mercer University and a member of SAE Fraternity and Tattnal Square Baptist Church. He was a foreman for Cherokee Brick and Tile Co. and was well known over this part of the state for his fine voice and had sung in many places in Macon and around Macon. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sara Lamb Lord; one son, Earl V. Lord Jr. and mother, Mrs. Margaret Lord, all of Macon.
