Services will be held at 2pm Monday in Hart's Mortuary with burial in Macon Memorial Park. Mark Toney will officiate. A native of Laurens County, Mrs. McAfee lived in Macon most of her life, moving from Johnson County. She was a retired seamstress for the Macon Shirt Company and a Methodist. She was a Gold Star Mother and a member of the Young-N- Heart Club of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David Horwitz of Macon; a son, Felton McAfee of Grand Prairie, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Melvin Price of Beech Island, SC; a brother, Emory Carter of Hapeville; and five grandchildren. The family may be contacted at the residence of Mrs. David Horwitz, 133 Senora Place. Additional Comments: Emily was born 11 Nov 1906 to John Williamson Carter and Mattie Teresa "Recie" Coxwell Carter. Her husband, Garner Felton McAfee is also buried in Macon Memorial Park.
