Mrs. Robert Lee McMichael Sr., widow of Dr. McMichael of Buena Vista, died 
Wednesday evening at the Atlanta home of her daughter Mrs. Dixon Wright, after 
a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Friday in the First Methodist 
Church in Buena Vista with the Revs. Edwin J. Grimes and Louis M. Spivey 
officiating. Burial will be in the Buena Vista Cemetery. 

Mrs. McMichael was born near Buena Vista on March 19, 1877. She was the former 
Nancy Cox Harvey daughter of the late Mary Virginia Wimbish Harvey and the 
late William Harvey.
She was the mother of Mrs. Cary Owen Pickard of Macon.

Mrs. McMichael received her early training in the private and public school of 
Buena Vista and later was graduated from the Woman's College of Georgia in 
Milledgeville.
She continued her study at the Peabody Teachers' College in Nashville, Tenn, 
and at the ermerson Scoool of oratory.

Mrs. McMichael married Dr. Robert Lee McMichael August 9, 1899, at Buena 
Vista. During their lifetime, they both contributed actively to the religious, 
educational and civic affairs of the community.

Mrs. McMichael was the mother of the late Robert Lee McMichael Jr, educational 
publisher of Atlanta.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Miller Raiford Bell of Milledgeville, 
Mrs. Pickard of Macon, Mrs. James Dixon wright and Mrs. Louie Denk 
Rauschenbert of Atlanta; a dauther-in-law, Mrs. Robert Le Michael Jr, of 
Atlanta; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Other Macon relatives include a grandson, Cary Owen Pickard Jr; a niece, Mrs. 
Thomas L. Ross Jr and a nephew Dr. V.H.McMichael.

Pallbearers will be Clarke Duncan, Ernest Stevens, Burton Wight Jr, Arthur 
Lowe, T.W. Hollis, Robert Webb, Alex Burgin, Joseph Rogers and James Gordon 
Lowe of Buena Vista.

Clements Funeral Home of Buena Vista is in charge of the arrangements
