Means, native of Elko, who moved here about a year ago from Portsmouth, Va., died unexpectedly last night at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. H. F. Dotts, 145 Piedmont avenue. He suffered a heart attack, but had been in declining health for a year. Mr. Means was born March 2, 1862, and was a farmer. He was a member of the Methodist church. He is survived by five children other than Mrs. Dotts; Mrs. W. B. Williamson of Winter Haven, Fla., Mrs. R. N. Tison of Frostproof, Fla.; M. H. Means of Eagle Lake, Fla.; E. M. Means of Portsmouth, Va., and T. E. Means of Augusta; a brother, J. D. Means, of Elko, and a sister, Mrs. Rosalie Bennett, of Perry. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mabel White Baptist church, with the pastor, the Rev. W. Worth Williams, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen.
