The Rev. Paul Stover and the Rev. J. A. Bixler will officiate and burial will be in the Salem Cemetery near Cochran. Mr. Mullis was born in Laurens County, the son of Jim Mullis and Mrs. Ella Barlow Mullis, and had lived in Macon for 11 years, coming from Eastman. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Martha N. Peacock, Macon; two sons, Thelton Monroe Mullis and William Albert Mullis; six daughters, Mrs. Ola Mae NeSmith, Mrs. Ella Gay, Mrs. Dessie Kitchens, Mrs. Mary Gregory, and Mrs. Ommie Hamlin, of Macon and Mrs. Allie Couey, Dublin; two brothers, Charlie Mullis, Macon and Jib Mullis, Roanoke Rapids, NC; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Adams, Macon, Mrs. Lula Lewis, Eastman, Mrs. Louise Russell, Chicago, and Mrs. Laura Jane Tripp, Cochran; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
