                    Mrs. Mullis, 71, Dies in Hospital
 Mrs. Martha Peacock Mullis, 71 of 1190 Hazel St., died yesterday in a local 
hospital after a brief illness.
 Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at 3pm 
Wednesday. The Rev. Wayne Mullins will officiate with burial in the Salem 
Cemetery near Cochran.
 Pallbearers will be Matthews Evans, Fred Mason, Lawson Ware, Donald Dean, 
Ronnie Taylor, and Eddy Coleman.
 Mrs. Mullis, the widow of David Monroe Mullis, was born in Dodge County, the 
daughter of Sol Peacock and Mrs. Allie Howell Peacock, and had lived in Macon 
for 27 years, coming here from Eastman.
 Surviving are one son, Thelton M. Mullis of Macon; six daughters, Mrs. Ola 
NeSmith, Mrs. Allie Couey, Mrs. Ella Gay, Mrs. Mary Gregory, Mrs. Desie 
Kitchens, and Mrs. Dot Vickery, all of Macon; 29 grandchildren; 32 great-
grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Peacock of Eastman; and several nieces 
and nephews.
