Shehee Is Dead After Brief Illness Mr. J.S. Shehee succumbed to an illness of a week’s duration last Wednesday morning at 4:50 o’clock at his home in Macon. He was in the 53rd year of his age. He had been sinking rapidly for the past few days and his death came as no great surprise to his family and friends. He was well known throughout this section and had made many friends in Macon where he had been engaged in business for a number of years. He is survived by his wife and two daughters of Macon, one brother, Mr. A.B. Shehee, of this county, and one sister, Mrs. G.H. Cleveland, of Phelan, Ala. The funeral service was conducted from the late residence Thursday morning at 10 o’clock by Rev. T.W. Calloway, pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Interment occurred in Riverdale cemetery. Mr. Shehee formerly resided in this county and relatives and many friends here will be pained to learn of his death. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones.
