Bullock, formerly Miss Sallie Hays, which sad event occurred at her home in Macon at 5:15 o’clock on Wednesday morning the 24th inst. She had been in feeble health for several months and though her death was no surprise to her family yet it came like an electric shock to the loved ones around her. She was reared in this community and no purer or better Christian lady has ever lived in our community. In all her trials and afflictions of life she bore them with an unflinching devotion to the cause of her Master, and has gone to enter into that rest which awaits the loved ones of the Lord. Her whole life was that of purity and the example which she set before others was worthy of emulation. She was loved by all who knew her, and the new of her departure will carry sadness and sorrow to many hearts. She leaves a devoted husband, three little children and many friends and relatives to mourn their loss. Her remains were interred at Rose Hill cemetery in Macon on Thursday. Her whole life was an emblem of purity, and her soul now rests with the Lord.
