MACON - John E. Palmer, Jr., age 86, went to be with his Lord on March 17, 
2007. Funeral service were held Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 11 A.M. in the 
chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. 
Rev. David Mount officiated. -Mr. Palmer was born  September 2, 1920 in Macon, 
Georgia and had lived here most of his life. He was a self-employed electrical 
contractor, he served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Trinty Baptist 
Church. He was preceded in death by his father, J.E. Palmer, Sr., mother, Ida 
Kate Grant Palmer, sister, Edna Mallory, wife, Latrelle Hudson Palmer and 
sons, Larry and Kenneth Palmer. -Survivors include his wife, Julia Mae Watson 
Palmer of Macon; Grandchildren, Kimberly Reiffer of Michigan and Crystal 
Chatswood of Alabama; five great grandchildren; niece, Wanda Sue Rogers of 
Macon; several nieces and nephews; brothers, Richard A. Palmer of Macon, Rev. 
James Melvin Palmer of Marshall, TX, Rev. Alfred C. Palmer of Hartselle, AL, 
George H. Palmer of Lizella, GA, Thomas F. Palmer of Hampton, GA; Sisters, 
Margaret Pollard of Lizella, GA, and Ruby Turner of Macon. -Visitation was 
Monday, March 19, 2007 from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
