Evelyn Rhodes Peed -MACON - Evelyn Rhodes Peed, 86, passed away on Monday, 
February 4, 2008 at Heartland Hospice. Funeral services will be held on 
Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park 
Funeral Home. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Len 
Strozier officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, from 1:00 - 
2:00 pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. -Mrs. Peed was born in Butler, 
Georgia to the late Clifton and Lucy Rhodes. Mrs. Peed was a longtime resident 
of Macon and preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Eugene L. Peed. She 
was retired from the Board of Education as a teacher's aide and a former 
member of Cherokee Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Peed is a member of Vineville 
Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. -She is survived by her 
children: Dr. Steven F. (Elaine) Peed of Richmond, VA and Beverly J. (Greg) 
Houser of Centerville, GA, grandchildren: Gregory Houser of Centerville, 
Lindsay Peed and Jessica Peed of Charlotte NC, numerous nieces and nephews. -
Donations may be made to Magnolia Manor, 200 Pierce Ave., Macon GA 31204 or to 
Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Ave. Macon GA 31204. -Macon Memorial 
Park Funeral and Cemetery has charge of the arrangements. Evelyn Peed
