Mrs. Enoch J. Rainey died at her residence, 304 Villa Ave., at 4:10 p.m. 
Monday, after a lingering illness.

Mrs. Rainey, the former Miss Sarah L. Hughes, was born in Bibb County, the 
daughter of W. L. and Mrs. Martha Woodson Hughes and had lived here all of her 
life.  She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband; a son J. W. Rainey, two daughters, Mrs. Paul Odom 
of Macon and  Mrs. R. W. Carroll, Atlanta; a number of grandchildren; a 
brother A. L. Hughes of Macon; two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Worsley of Macon and 
Mrs. A. D. Wright, Jacksonville, Fla.  Funeral services will be announced 
later by Hart's Mortuary.

Funeral services for Mrs. Enoch J. Rainey, who died at her residence 304 Villa 
Ave. Monday after a long illness will be held in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary 
at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday.  The Rev. Cecil Danny, pastor of the First Christian 
Church, of which she was a member, will officiate and burial will be in the 
Doles Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William F. Odom, Robert P. Carroll, Ralph W. Carroll,  A. 
L. Hughes, T. D. Wright, Jr. and Al G. Copp.
