The Rev. James W. Waters officiated and burial was in the Macon Memorial Park. Pallbearers were C. B. Arnold, Jr., James Holloman, A. T. Nichols, Willie Cranford, Joe Burnette and Wallace Grant. He was born in Wheeler County and had lived in Macon for 10 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Evelyn Holloman, Macon; a daughter, Virginia Gail (should be Gayle) Ryals, Macon; a brother, J. M. Ryals, Macon; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elder Douglas Ryals and grandfather, J. E. Joiner, of Glenwood. Additional Comments: He was born March 17, 1912 in Wheeler County, and was only days away from his 38th birthday when he died of a heart attack.
