Marion Davis Smith, Age 51, of  657 Rutherford Ave., died Sunday, December 11, 
1988 in a local hospital.  Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 
1988 in Crest Lawn Funeral Home.  Burial was in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.   
A native of Dodge County, Mr. Smith was born August 1, 1937 and had lived in 
Macon for the past 25 years.  He was a self employed mechanic, a Methodist and 
a U. S. Air Force Veteran.   Survivors include a step son, Gary Irvine of 
Macon, his mother, Pauline J. Smith of Chester; three brothers, Mike W. Smith 
of Eastman, Willie M. Smith of Macon and Malrie J. Smith of Warner Robins; and 
a sister, Aberline Brown of Macon.   The family greeted friends from 6 to 8 in 
Crest Lawn Funeral Home and could be contacted at the residence of Merle 
Smith, 2905 Richard Drive.
