The Rev. Albert W. Ray will officiate. Miss Sikes was a lifelong resident of Bibb County, the daughter of Samuel I. Sikes and Mrs. Virginia Brooks Sikes. She was a member of the Mulberry Street Methodist Church. Prior to her retirement, she was associated with the Coca- Cola Bottling Company. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, among them Mrs. Myra Ufford, Montgomery, Ala., and Mrs. Nell Dorsey, Opelika, Ala., and several great nieces and nephews. Hart's Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. (1) The birthyear of 1876 on her gravestone indicates that her age at death was about 86. This date is more in line with her siblings, family history and my own personal knowledge.
