Two Killed By Lightning Bolts

Macon, Ga. – 

Mrs. J.C. Thomas and her son, Jesse C. Thomas, Jr., were instantly killed and 
four other members of the family and a neighbor’s child injured by a stroke of 
lightning which struck the Thomas home, 2 miles north of Jeffersonville, 25 
miles from Macon during a severe electrical storm.  The injured are J.C. 
Thomas, Sr., Elliott Thomas, aged 12, and Merreal Kethvin, aged 14 years.  The 
members of the family were gathered on the front porch of their home watching 
the storm.
