Tyson Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah (Sallie) Elizabeth Tyson, 87, who died Friday at her residence, 339 Walnut Street, will be held in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at 4pm today. Dr. Ernest Saloom will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be W. M. Tyson Jr., Julius E. Tyson, James E. Tyson, John F. Hamm, Odie McLemore, and Kelly Towles. Mrs. Tyson, widow of William Tyson, was born in Mississippi and came to Macon in 1911 from Bartow, Ga. She was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle. Surviving are three sons, James Murry Tyson, Waller Murphy Tyson, and William Edward Tyson; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Winona Blackwell, Mrs. John W. Smith, Macon, and Mrs. J. M. Bowers, Monks Corner, SC; one brother, John S. Jordan of Prentiss, Miss.; 14 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
