James Augustus Thomas March 9, 1957 Macon, Georgia Newspaper DEATH CLAIMS COL. THOMAS Col. James Augustus Thomas died at 3:45 a.m. yesterday in Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. Col. Thomas was born in Savannah, Ga. and lived in Macon from 1927 to 1953. He was a Mason, a veteran of the Spanish American War and commanded the 121st Field Artillery in World War 1. Surviving are one son, Col. W. A. Thomas, Macon; one daughter, Mrs. Walter Radman, St. Petersburg, Fla. four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The body will be brought to Macon for funeral and burial.
