DEATH CLAIMS COL. THOMAS
Col. James Augustus Thomas died at 3:45 a.m. yesterday in
Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. Col.
Thomas was born in Savannah, Ga. and lived in Macon from
1927 to 1953. He was a Mason, a veteran of the Spanish
American War and commanded the 121st Field Artillery in
World War 1.

Surviving are one son, Col. W. A. Thomas, Macon; one
daughter, Mrs. Walter Radman, St. Petersburg, Fla. four
grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The body will
be brought to Macon for funeral and burial. Arrangements
will be announced by Hart's Mortuary.
