Services were held Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 3P.M. in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary with the Reverend Christopher L. Peavy officiating. Burial was in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family may be contacted at the residence. Visitation was Wednesday, November 1, 2006, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Hart's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to Hospice of Central Georgia, P. O. Box 6533, Macon, GA 31208 or to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Mr. Wooten had been a member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church for 42 years. He was an automobile mechanic and had worked with Melton's Garage, Southside Transmission, Vicker's Transmission, Youman's Chevrolet, and Master Transmission. Mr. Wooten was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors: wife, Joan Edwards Wooten of Macon; daughter and son-in-law, Lora and David Martin of Gray, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Jessica Wooten of Gray, GA; grandchildren, Adam, Alex, and Austin Martin and Caed, Noah, Chandler and Nickolas Wooten, all of Gray, GA; brothers, Henry Wooten of Florida and Robert A. Wooten of Palmetto, GA; sisters, Lois Moncrief of Gray, GA and Lillian Mae Young of St. Louis, MO. Hart's Mortuary had charge of arrangements.
