Additional Comments:
I am going to make an assumption on this grave marker because of the name. I 
am familiar that a man named Peter G. Appling had a high school named after 
him in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia.  I know the high school was named after 
Peter G. Appling before I ever started in school and I began school in the 
1950's. The school was for black high school students and I believe this is 
the person the school was named in honor of during that time period.
