The Stokes Family cemetery is located just off the side of 
Interstate 475 southbound lane before it connects with I-
75 at Hartley Bridge Road.  The cemetery is not in very 
good shape.  It is overgrown with weeds and trees and one 
tree has fell across some of the markers in the cemetery.  
It was very hard to find, even with instructions on how to 
get to it from a Stokes family member.  The cemetery has a 
fence encircling it and at one time was probably state of 
the art for the time.  The cemetery is approximately 50 
ft. by 60 ft. which is fairly good sized.  The GPS 
coordinates for the cemetery are  32 degrees 45.50 N, 083 
degrees 42.69 W, 278 ft. above sea level.  There are not 
many grave markers in the cemetery and only one that has a 
name engraved.  With the size of the cemetery, I would say 
there are many unmarked graves within its area.
