The parlors were beautifully decorated with cut flower and ferns. The bride, who is of a brunette type was strikingly handsome in a going away costume of blue tricotine cloth with accessories to match and carried a shower bouquet of bride’s roses. Rev. J.W. Herin, father of the bride, was the officiating minister. To the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Minnie Herin the bridal party entered, Mrs. H.P. Herin acting as matron of honor. During the afternoon they motored to the home of Mrs. William H. Parks, mother of the groom, of Reynolds, where they with many invited guests and other members of the family were entertained at a six o’clock dinner. No occasion was ever more typical of Southern hospitality than this one. The spacious hall was a scene of beauty with decorations of pink and green. In the dining room with lights aglow the guests were served to a five course dinner, the centerpiece was a large crystal bowl filled with nasturtions. Mr. Parks is one of Taylor County’s hustling young farmers. Among those attending the wedding from here were Miss Sara Emma Parks, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Windham and son, Mr. A.I. Parks and Mr. Clarence Oliver, Mrs. John Johnson, and daughter, Elizabeth, of Fort Valley.
