It was a will written in "Common Form". It is on page 405 Book H. It has long been told that the wife Tillie Ard had done away with any will he had written so you can imagine my surprise at finding this information. The will is as follows: I, William Mitchell Harris, being of sound mind and disposing spirit , do make this my last Will and testament, superseding all other Will previously made. It is my will and desire that all property, both real and personal be divided equally among my five children, namely: Atlee Harris, Miles Harris, Charles Harris, Mrs. Elizabeth Harris Foster and Mrs Bertha Haris Hulbert, share and share alike, except as hereinafter provided. Should any of my children not survive me, then his or her portion shall be divided among his or her children if there be any. Should any of my children die without issue before the execution of this will, then his or her portion shall be divided equally among my surviving children. It is my will that my beloved wife Tillie A. Harris shall have the cow and all the chickens and six hundred dollars ($600.00) in money. The six hundred dollars shall be paid out of my life insurance and I direct each of my children to see that she receives the said money as soon after my death as the insurance shall have been paid. I desire that Mr W.. T. Turlington shall act as my executor of my estate. He shall act without giving bond, nor shall he be accountable to any court. William Mitchell Harris At the request of the testator an in his presence and in the presence of each other, we have hereunder affixed our signatures as witness to the above, this the 30th day of August, 1927.
