I, Absalom Jordan of said State and County being advanced in age and knowing that I must shortly depart from this world deem it right and proper both as respects myself and family that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me, I therefore make this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and annulling all others heretofore made by me. Item 1st. I desire that all my just debts be paid without by my Executors hereinafter named as I am unwilling my hereditors should be delayed of their rights especially as there is no necessity for delay. Item 2nd. I give and devise to my beloved Wife Julia Jordan with whom I have lived in the quiet and strict love for forty eight years all that I am possessed of both real and personal with the exception of one Negro man named Luck. She is to enjoy it till her death at which time I want all of my property to be equally divided between my children. Item 3rd. My Negro man Luck I want him to work for himself under a Guardianship of my sons Wiley and James Jordan after the death of myself. Item 4th. I constitute and appoint my beloved sons James and Wiley Jordan Executors to this my last Will and Testament this July 24th 1859. Langston Bibb Court of Ordinary October Term 1859 And now at this term James and Wiley Jordan as Executors of Absalom Jordan late of Said County deceased having produced the last Will and Testament of Said Absalom and also William J. Langston, one of the Witnesses thereto who being duly sworn Saith that he saw said Absalom Jordan Sign declare and publish the above and foregoing as and for his last Will and Testament that he was of sound and disposing mind and memory and that this desponant and David L. Miller, Solomon R. Johnson and D. W. Braswell subscribed the same as Witnesses in the presence of Said Testator at his instance and request in the presence of each other. Signed W. J.
