Intending this will to be a formal disposition of my estate, I wish my executor as soon as possible after my death to pay my debts if any _____ he from the property, embraced in the res_____ clause of this will and I empower him to sell any part thereof for that purpose as he may think best either publicly or privately. Item second. I give to my son James W. Myrick all my interest in the land which my husband James Myrick owned as a plantation lying in Bibb and Monroe County’s the same being the place, where he died and on which I have lived since his death and ______ to be fourteen hundred acres my interest in the same being one fourth. Item third. I give and bequeath to my son James W. Myrick all my estate in the land which my husband James Myrick owned as a plantation lying in Bibb and Monroe Counties the same being the place where he died and Item third. I give and bequeath to my son James W. Myrick and to my daughter Frances Norris, wife of Thomas Norris, and in the event of her death before me in equal shares to her children and to the children of my deceased daughter Susan Williams wife of William D. Williams of Baker County all the rest and residue of my estate – that is to say one third of the residence to my son James W. Myrick and one third of the residence to Frances Norris or her children as aforesaid and one third of the residence to the children of my late daughter Susan Williams as aforesaid. Item fourth. I do hereby appoint my beloved son James W. Myrick executor of this my will. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand this 28th day of June eighteen hundred and seventy one.
